Our mission for Sunday was to explore the offerings of Scottsdale, the round trip from Apache Junction was 110 mi. "the valley of the sun" is larger than I had imagined. We visited art and craft shops, and then the ultimate wine store. We had a great day in the Arizona Sunshine!
We visited the Gilbert Ortega Indian Gallery which features a big selection of jewelry and bronze art, this large as life horse retails at $69,000 and as far as I know, it is still available.
I know this looks bad when your using a shopping cart at a wine & liquor store but this is an amazing place. Total Wine & More is like a Cosco dedicated to wine and every kind of liquor on the planet. We found some great buys and made a cosiderable increase in our wine inventory in the basement of the motorhome. Bev found a venturi wine aerator which allows you to pour each glass through the device which mixes the correct amount of air to allow the wine to breathe on individual servings. I have completed 2 nights of taste testing and am pleased with the results.
