Yesterday started out with a daily visit from one of the roadrunners that live in the RV park. They are really fun to watch. Our friends Bob & Mary came from Tucson for a visit. Mary and I went out to a nice lunch and then to a quilt shop. We spent about an hour and one-half there picking out just the right fabric for some projects. Mary is going to make a quilt and I am going to make some placemats. Skip and Bob headed out for an antique airplane fly-in. Skip found a perfectly restored Cessna Bird Dog, which was his back seat home for 3 years as an Army Flight Instructor at Ft. Rucker, AL. We all met back at the RV for happy hour and were joined by our friends Dee and Louise. Then off to dinner at the Boarderline Cafe for some great mexican food. We really blew our diet for that day. But had great fun with friends.
While at the quilt shop I found this quote in their newsletter and wanted to share it.
"This is the beginning of a new day. God has given me this day to use as I will. I can waste it...or use it for good, but what I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it. When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something that I have traded for it. I want to be gain, and not loss; good, and not evil; success, and not failure; in order that I shall not regret the price that I have paid for it." W. Heartsill Wilson
I have decided I want to be a good person; kind and caring, loving; considerate; and most of all I want to be thankful for all that I have been entrusted with in this life. Think about the poem and I hope you agree that it is up to each and every one of us to help make our world better.
Love to all who read this. Bev & Skip
